New beginnings in 2009
After many months without a change and a few calmer monthly meetups, January 2009 will be the occasion to put some energy back in the group with a new site, new organiser and a return to bigger crowds.
On January 7th at 8pm, at La quincaillerie as always, will be held the first 2009 Yulblog. We invite you to come in great numbers to launch this new year which will see us celebrate, in March, our 9th anniversary.
A few hours before the meetup, our new site will be brought online. This site will let you add your blog yourself and will let you see the stream of posts from everyone. It will also be possible to sort by keywords to help you find new blogs to read out of the many hundreds of Montréal bloggers. As a matter of fact, you will be able to have a look at the site and setup your account and blog right there, at La quincaillerie.
It will also be the occasion to start the new organiser's "mandate" on the right foot. Michael Boyle will be taking over events and I'll be keeping the site management side of things. Michael has already been taking care of the monthly reminders since fall and was one of the co-founders of Yulblog, in the quasi prehistoric times of the web, in 2000.
